Bosch Multi-Purpose Bit Review

When you think of power tools, you think either a corded or cordless tool. We think about the power, the size, the type of tool and everything in between. Rarely do we ever think about the power tool accessory, the actual part that does the physical work. We all take time to judge and determine which drill or saw is the best but we don’t do the same when it comes to our accessories. So today we are going to take a look at the Bosch Multi-Purpose Bit review.

Bosch Multi-Purpose Bit Review Overview

One of the biggest enemies of a power tool is heat. Heat breaks down a power tool rather quickly and causes it to prematurely fail. One way to stop this is to use a sharp bit or blade. When you use a sharp bit, it allows the tool to work easier which means less heat build-up, giving you longer tool life and making your power tool last.

So which bit is the best bit on the market? Today we are covering the Bosch Multi-Purpose bits.  I am not going out on a limb and saying they are the best because there is so much to a drill bit and in honesty, I really don’t think there is an answer to who makes the best drill bit. For me, like, most, it’s a matter of opinion and which one has been the best for you over the long haul.

I have been using the Bosch accessory line for a while and love the different solutions they have. I know some people love Hilti, while others might like a different power tool manufacturer line of bits.

The drill bit uses a tungsten carbide and diamond ground edges which means it will last and is suitable for high-speed drilling. Bosch designed these bits with steep flutes which allows them to bring waste to the top and provides great dust removal.

We used it in a variety of materials such as wood, brick, and concrete. For a multi-purpose drill bit, these perform great. We were able to drill down deep and you can see that the flutes really work well by bringing up the dust. In regards to speed, the bits were fast and performed like you would expect.

Bosch Multi-Purpose Bit Review Value

The bits run about $20 at The Home Depot. For me, I think this is an awesome deal.  It’s one of the accessories that is nice to have around and can get you out of a bind. Sure you will still have your go-to bits for concrete and wood, but it’s always nice to have a backup.  For $20 it’s worth the investment. I like these bits enough that I would even make them a frontline bit for a lot of applications.

Bosch Multi-Purpose Bit Review Final Thoughts

Bottom line, it’s hard to say these are the best on the market or if they are the fastest on the market. For me, it’s the name behind them, Bosch. You know I am a huge fan of Bosch when it comes to professional tool and products that are quality and made to last. So for these, I am a fan and are something I am keeping both in my truck box and in my garage.
