Why a Combo Kit Makes the Perfect Gift

Combo kits make the perfect gift for a variety of reasons.  First, the three combo kits above all have the most commonly used tools, the drill, and the impact driver.  So if someone is looking to get into a line of power tools, this is a great way to get them started. Second, if someone has a tool line but still might be using the old battery technology, this is a great way to move them to a newer, more powerful technology with Lithium-Ion batteries.

While there are a lot of power tool manufacturers on the market, I included three popular ones above and what I think are great tools to invest in, Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Makita.  All three have a ton of tools in their 18/20V platform so it’s easy to expand and buy things like saws, impact wrenches and more.  Second, these are all professional tools which mean they are built like tanks, so your investment in a platform that will not only perform but will be durable over the years.

The above combo kits are all compact models that are all awesome.  Don’t think because they are compact and smaller, that they aren’t powerful.  Trust me when I saw that these will complete 90% of the work you need.  From drilling large diameter holes to working with large fasteners, these tools will not it all out of the park.  Now if you are mixing concrete, mortar or heavy-duty applications like that on a daily basis, sure go with something else.  But these will mix concrete and more from time to time without any issues.

Final Thoughts

Bottom line, a combo kit is a great way to get someone into a platform or move them to the modern-day technology.  Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Makita all offer awesome kits, with plenty of power and will allow you to expand into other tools.
