Keter Tool Chest

I first found out about Keter when I was at Costco and saw the work bench.  I thought it was cool, but seriously, it was plastic.  How well could it be built?  Turns out it was 10 times better than I ever thought.  Then I saw they had Deck Boxes.  I have heard most deck boxes are junk and fall apart.  However I thought I would give that a shot.  Again, this thing surprised me and was 10 times better than I thought.  So now we tried the Tool Chest.  I have to say I really didn’t expect much...

Husky 46 in. 8-Drawer Mobile Workbench

We always get asked what is the workbench that we use in our videos.  It is the Husky 46 in. 8-Drawer Mobile Workbench.  We have 2 of them and I like them for a few reasons.  They are under $300 and have a replaceable work top.  The mobile workbench serves 2 purposes, it is a 8 drawer tool box.  I can easily wheel it around loaded with ll my tools.  It also is a workbench that I move just about anywhere. Build quality on the bench is excellent.  In-fact more than one person has told me that they would put...

Husky 52 in. 18-Drawer Tool Chest and Cabinet Set

Sometimes big box branded items don’t get the credit they deserve.  I think that applies to Husky, the Home Depot brand of tools. Husky makes plenty of items and a lot of them are of good quality. When we first got our hands on the 52″ tool chest we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and detail that went into it. The box uses roller bearing drawers that have a 100 lb capacity each.  The drawers move in and out smoothly especially with weight in them.  The problem with a lot of tool boxes is that your tools slide...

Together with Cribmaster (also owned by SBD), Proto developed an RFID based tool system There are of course limitations to the system. It requires the use of RFID embedded tools or the attachment of compatible tags,...

Dewalt 36 in. Metal Rolling and Top Storage Chest

Ever since I saw the Dewalt 36 in. Metal Rolling and Top Storage Chest at Home Depot I have wanted it.  So the past few weeks it has been on sale for a ridiculously low price.   I just had to have it.  So we went searching and because of the low price it was hard to find.  I finally found it after a 2 hour round trip drive. A-part from being yellow and saying DeWALT all over it the chest is really a nice quality.  The draws are on ball bearing slides and every drawer comes with a foam...

Craftsman Tool Box – Lifetime Warranty

I remember 20 years ago when I worked at a car dealership and I got my first tool box.  It was a Craftsman Rally Box.  I still have the box today and it has lasted me 20 years.  So when I got a new Craftsman tool box I wasn’t worried about the longevity of it, especially with the lifetime warranty.. The box has DynaGlide ball bearings that make the drawers operate smoothly with up to 100 lbs in them.  The drawers stay closed even when they are not locked thanks to the GripLatch system.  The drawer handle rotates up...
