20 Year Warranty – Rockwell Brushless ZeroQuit

I give it to Rockwell, the video below is a great commercial.  Not only are they showing you the tool in an industrial environment, but also a wet environment. That is some extreme conditions for a non IP rated tool. Grant it, they have a disclaimer not to use these tools in heavy rain for extended periods.   These tools have a 20 year warranty on both the tool and the batteries. That is just crazy talk. Obviously you will have to register the tool to take full advantage of these benefits. The new 20V MaxLithium line will have...

Rockwell RK3441 4-1/2″ Compact Circular Saw

You may remember the incredible article Dan did on the Rockwell Versa-Cut.  Well now they introduced a new saw, the Rockwell RK3441 which is a 4-1/2″ compact saw.  So what is so special about this saw? Well first you can now cut material that is 2″ thick making it much more versatile than the Vera-Cut.  With the Versa-Cut, you would have to flip the material over to finish a 2″ cut.  Now I really only see two types of people owning this tool.  First, would be the homeowner who is into arts and crafts.  Now I could be wrong,...

Sweet 16 – Rockwell 16V Lithiumtech

Rockwell has just announced a new 16V Lithiumtech line to fill the gap between 18/20v and 12v tools. The 16V Impact Driver RK2611K2 is only 4.9″ long which is very short for compact spaces.  It has 950 in-lbs of torque which pretty much edges out all 12V Impacts except for Milwaukee’s upcoming brushless M12 FUEL.  It ties the 12v DeWALT DCF815 at 950 in-lbs of torque. The Rockwell 16V Drill/DCF815Driver RK2600K2 has 302 in-lbs of torque.  It has a 16 torque setting clutch,  spindle lock and a two-speed (0-400/0-1500, no-load rpm) gearbox.  Both tools come with a 30 minute charger and two...

Rockwell BenchJaw RK9006- Review

The Rockwell JawHorse is one of my most used tools.  I use it for everything, as a table, as a clamp, to hold pipe, the list goes on.  Pretty much any clamping task you need, it can handle.  Using your feet to apply clamp down pressure does two things, it allows you to apply a lot more pressure than if you used your hands and it keeps your arms free to steady your work as you clamp it.  For those of you that want a more permanent option or a more space saving option, Rockwell has come out with...

Rockwell Jawhorse and RK9100 Welding Station Accessory Attachment

I am going to start by saying the Jawhorse is something I use everyday and is one of my favorite tools.  It does a lot of things from clamping and holding just about anything.  I use it for painting, grinding, cutting etc.  It has never failed me and always has been stable for any project.  There are a few accessories that expand the use of this tool, the one we are going to talk about today is the RK9100 Welding Station.  It turns the Jawhorse into a giant welding clamp.  The kit comes with 2 aluminum jaws that replace...
