DeWalt DCF620 and DCF6201

About a month ago, I received the DeWalt DCF620 20v MAX- XR Li-Ion Brushless Drywall Screw gun as a gift and have been using it as my go to screw gun. The first thing that caught my attention was the grip. The screw gun fits nicely in your hands and that makes it comfortable to work with all day. Another plus to this screw gun is the Nosecone.  The nosecone locks on securely with just a twist and is easily removed while maintaining consistent screw depth, changing the bits is a breeze. Dewalt designed this screw gun with a brushless...

Are you hanging drywall, flooring or other tasks that require you to set fastener after fastener?  If you are, you should check out the Bosch 18V screwgun.  Talk about lightweight, efficient and making the job simple, the Bosch delivers. With the SGH182 a user can drive home about 3,400 screws using a 4 Ah battery. Hilti SD 4500-A18 and SD-M1

Hilti knows tools, jobsites and efficiency, what else is there to say about Hilti.  When you think of Hilti, you think quality.  They make great tools that last, make you more productive and make your life easier.  Sure they are on the pricey side, but if you want quality, you have to be willing to pay.  I have yet to find a Hilti tool I don’t like and the Hilti SD 4500-A18 isn’t any different.  This 18V drywall screwdriver is top notch and made to perform.  The no-load speed has a range from 0 – 4500 with a max torque of...

Bosch SGH182 18V Cordless Screw Gun – World Of Concrete 2015

Last week we went to World of Concrete in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Las Vegas isn’t what it used to be, but that’s for another time.  Bosch really had some exciting new tools that we will tell you about over the next few weeks.  Today we are going to talk about the new SGH182 Cordless screw gun.  They are not the first to market with this tool but they impressed us with run-time and ergonomics. With the new 6.0 Ah battery that they announced at the show you can get up to 3500 screws on one charge.  You can also...

Senco Auto Feed Screwdriver Review Model DS312-18V

If I am going to be doing repetitive work, repetitive work, then I want a tool that makes this much easier. Which brings me to the Senco DS312-18V Auto Feed Screwdriver.  If you are using the same fastener over and over and over and over, this is the tool to have.  This is great for decking, decks, framing, sheathing, sub flooring, underlayment, drywall and other applications.  Personally I have used this more on underlayment than any other applications.  For me this is a great tool and a time saver. The Senco is powered by an 18V Lithium-Ion battery and...

Senco DS212 18V Auto-Feed Screwdriver Review

Awhile back we reviewed the Senco Duraspin.  As you know we liked the screw gun but we were looking for more and what do you know?  They took our advice and made some changes.  Well I am sure they didn’t take our advice, but they did make some changes.  Well again, not really changes, they did what we like best, a redesign.  One thing that I really don’t like is when a company takes an existing item, makes a small change and then calls it a brand new product.  No complaint with Senco because they actually made this tool...

Senco Duraspin DS275-18V Review

I can’t tell you how much time I have spent in my life fastening screws into drywall, decking and underlayment, but I bet it’s a lot.  I think of all the fasteners I have had to take out of my pouch, put on the end of the bit and drive home.  When it comes down to it, it’s a lot of wasted time.  Every time you stop to put more screws in your pouch or add a screw to the end of a bit, is wasted time or unproductive time.  Now I never really thought about this until I...
