We have had this Miller welder for quite a while now and Eric even learned how to weld on it. Welding is a very rewarding skill and to be a skilled welder you need to have a quality, reliable machine. I cannot stress enough how much . It is made right here in the USA.
The 211 has a feature called MVP that allows you to use the unit on 120 and 240 with the simple change of a twist plug. The unit will weld up to 3/8″ steel on a single pass. The side door pops up to reveal a wire chart, the MVP plug and the quick change spool. Feeding new wire is fast and easy. The entire drive system works like clockwork and we didn’t have any issues. The star feature of the 211 is the Auto Set feature. It takes all the guess work out of welding. All you do is set the thickness and wire size and you’re set to weld. Two big easy to read dials can be adjusted with welding gloves on. There is also a manual mode when you want to dial the settings if your welding aluminum, for instance. The power button on the back is over sized so you don’t miss it when you reach around to turn it on or off. The welder comes with extra consumables and a gauge kit for your gas.
I have used this welder many times and each job looks great. There is minimal splatter thanks to Millers Smooth-Start system. It provides a smooth splatter free start. I thought it worked very well. In some of the pictures you can see that I welded a 2″ receiver on the front of a Kawasaki Mule 610. Not to toot my own horn, but those welds almost look pro! It is all thanks to the 211 Auto-Set. The versatility of this machine is unmatched. It laid a smooth bead. We even had a few long term welders check out the machine. They said things like “Impressive” and ” I want it”. Miller welders are made in the USA and in my opinion a true example of American pride and workmanship.
