Porter Cable Routers – Porter cable offers both types of routers with a range from 7/8 to 3 1/4 horse power. Most applications can easily be done with a 1 3/4 horsepower router. Most of the amps are around 11 amps and have a 1/4″ and 1/2″ collet. Try to get a router that accepts both sizes. Other than that, Porter Cable will have everything else standard.
