Blackhawk Hornet 2 Folding Tactical Knife Review

11

We always get excited about showing off knives.  Well, not everyone.  Dan tends to cut himself and not like knives.  For the rest of us, we found a pretty cool knife by a well known knife manufacturer, Blackhawk.  Now only does the company have a cool name, but it has a cool knife also.  The Hornet 2 is a cool to the touch kind of knife.  With G-10 scales, you don’t ever have to worry about losing grip.

Lightweight, easy to open and perfect for an EDC.  For you knife fan addicts who don’t want to pay for a knife, but want a quality EDC, this might be your knife.

What We Like

  • Quality feel, solid
  • Easy to open
  • Very nice feel for a small or medium size hand
  • Nice handle
  • Weight

What We Don’t Like

  • If you have a larger hand, you might not like the feel.  Might be better off going with a knife with a longer handle.

  1. Eric I truly understand your love of knives. I have also expressed my fondness for these pointy tools. How can you not appreciate the beauty of these tools. The Hornet 2 looks like a good tactical knife & good edc blade, not to small or big. Thanks for introducing this brand which I visited a few weeks ago or so. Keep up the great knife reviews. Laters TIA

  2. Blackhawk is nice..i use to have one..did the job… The smith and wesson that u guys had on the fridays video suck…ive had them and they are junk..they make a mean revolver tho, thats for dam sure.. 44 mag my bro had was quality

  3. just a hint, if the knife is branded as colt or S&W etc. it is probably a cheaply made knife that is rebranded. if you want a good traditional jigged bone pocket knife look at case or if you want an amazing tactical/ speed assisted opening knife look at Zero tolerance first and then Kershaw or for a good quality fixed blade look at Buck knives, do not get their assisted opening knives, I had two of them and they both broke within a year of purchase and use. All of the brands are reasonably affordable and yes there are better brands but they come at a price. by the way congrats to whoever gets the free stuff from Eric’s Garage.

  4. Hey Dan, just been busy but haven’t missed a video yet. ps I always watch the entire video you guys are to funny for me to miss any of it.

  5. I am agree with the conclusion. The Black hawk Hornet II is rock-solid folding pocket knife that have super smooth actions and is built for the long haul. I liked the ambidextrous thumb stud most. you’ll find this knife is truly versatile and dependable cutting tool that have the feel of something precious.
