RYOBI is at it Again – New Tool Release

12

Just when you thought RYOBI had every tool available to the users, well think again.  They are releasing five new tools and just in time for Father’s Day.

5 New RYOBI Tools for Father’s Day

Over time I have become a fan of RYOBI.  Not only do they have one of the biggest 18V tool line ups on the market, they also make a high quality tool.  While the tools are high quality, they don’t break the bank.  All a win, win for the home owner.

18V SDS Rotary Hammer

Ryobi

MODEL NUMBER: P222

LAUNCH DATE: Apr 2016

Price: $99

As a home owner or small contractor, having an SDS Rotary Hammer can mean the difference between making a job easy or hard.  Here is what is awesome about this tool, the price point.  While you may not be busting up concrete everyday or drilling holes, it’s nice to have that option with a battery platform you may already own.  For most rotary tools, these tend to be expensive purchases which makes it hard to justify for the home owner who lets this sit on the shelf most days of the year.  With a price point of $99, it is much easier to justify a purchase where you can use it one or two times a year.

18V 3-Speed Impact Driver

Ryobi Impact

MODEL NUMBER: P237

LAUNCH DATE: Mar/Apr 2016

RYOBI has come a long way with their tools from 10 years ago, well I guess everyone has.  However this new impact driver makes it compete with some of the big boys out there in the market, but for a heck of a lot less.  Again, this tool only runs $69 at your local Home Depot store.  Not a bad purchase to get a lighter tool with some of the same stats of the higher priced impact drivers.

18V 6 Port Super Charger

Ryobi Charger

MODEL NUMBER: P135

LAUNCH DATE: Apr/May 2016

RETAIL: $79

Here is a new addition I am happy to see.  If you own one of the older versions, you know how handy they are to have around.  However there was always one problem with them, the size.  They would charge the same amount of batteries, but would take up a huge space on your workbench.  This new charger seems like they were able to keep the same 6 pack charger, but in a much smaller size.

• Battery: 18V Lithium-Ion or Ni-Cd

• USB Output: 2A Max

• Indicator light shows status as batteries are charged and maintained
• Temperature LED indicates when a battery is too hot or too cold to charge
• Energy Save Mode conserves energy when not charging or maintaining batteries, protects battery cells and maximizes battery life
• Innovative charger design can mount on the wall, sit flat on a bench or stand up vertically for maximizing workspaces
• Batteries lock securely into place for easy transport

  1. I am not a ryobi fan but they are really trying to stay up there. I think these tools are better for home owners. I bought a cheap drill real quick, well cause I needed one and was tired of burning out drills. I did not get far with the ryobi. Of course it was back when they still had the old battery’s. But ryobi is not good for everyday contractor.

  2. That’s a sweet impact! Got some good torque to it as well. I wonder when they will bring brushless stateside though, they released some in Australia. Why no handle on their SDS though, I don’t understand that.

  3. Ryobi is hitting the mark on tool options, tools of this nature are usually thought of as for the pro contractor. With a price point such as Ryobi offers anyone can have one good job! #TIACREW

  4. I recently got a Ryobi jigsaw and Ryobi Circular Saw with Laser (fancy). They aren’t the most expensive, but I find that they do a great job and I don’t have to empty out my bank account. Looking forward to seeing the new line up. Thanks!

  5. That roto hammer has definitely piqued my interest. It would be nice to have out in the field when running a corded means dragging a cord through manure to a generator. I can afford this one, but not the XR brushless DeWalt kit that I’ve been drooling over.
    #TIACREW

  6. This is perfect for my needs! I can finally ditch the ancient 2004 corded Bosch hammer drill that’s in the trailer. I use this tool rather infrequently and I am sure this Ryobi would handle what use I would throw at it. Should do good chipping tiles up too.

  7. it is good to see the up and comers come out with innovative quality products pushes competition and lowers prices #tiacrew

  8. I really wish that instead of another hand-vac they would make a wet/dry shop-vac (preferably a hybrid one). Another thing I would love would be a framing nailer. If they made either of those tools, I would buy them as soon as I could afford to do so.

  9. I am still using the old blue ones after many years…I would like to update, but they still work Great after adding some L-ion batteries. I use them most work days and have beat the crap out of them. They keep going. No complaints. When it’s time, I Will buy more Ryobi.
