Just as we start the new year Milwaukee has announced a new compact M12 circular saw. the 5-3/8″ 2530-20.  Milwaukee makes some good circular saws and I am sure the new M12 will be a hit.  Brushless power combined with the XC 4.0 battery will give long run times.   Look for it next month at your favorite tool retailer.

  1. I have a DeWalt 18 volt circular saw and it is convenient but very under powered. So I am Leary that a 12 volt would be any better. They are safer then corded saws because it’s hard for them to kick back. I have had the saw blade stop when the going gets tough many times where a corded might think about kicking back. But they are very convenient that is for sure and I am hoping for the best with this one.

  2. Seen this in a email this morn and comp put up a video on it today in the forum, it looks really cool and compact and the light on it looks really nice and U can’t believe how many cuts U can get off a 12v wow! Nice one for the Red Team!!

  3. when whill there be a video review of this with some REAL tests
i am also waiting on a review of the new hilti cordless drill its a BEAST
hope to hear from you guys soon youre doing great keep up the good work

  4. Glad to see a little brother to the big, bad, M18 Fuel saw. It’s awesome to see that a saw size that used to be a larger voltage offering can now be powered by a more compact, convenient, lightweight and lower voltage platform. Way to go Big Red!

  5. Is Milwaukee tool reading my mind?! A few weeks ago I was thinking “wouldn’t it be cool if someone came out with a decent circular saw for 12volt?” Because every other 12 volt circ saw on the market are pitiful excuses for tools unless you’re just rough cutting 3mm plywood.

  6. im eager to see a review on this.. im not quite sure if i think it is worth giving up the extra capacities and potential power and runtime of a brushless 6.5″ saw for the slight reduction in size.. then again if you only have the 12v platform im sure it would be a great addition to your fleet of tools and be quite useful for you.. no doubt it is pretty slick looking!

  7. I know what is on my wishlist for this year! So glad the M12 is expanding so fast. Ill end up switching from M18 to just M12 at this rate!

  8. I don’t know why, but I love it! Blade sizes may be hard to find, but damn, that’s a convenient little package. Being Milwaukee brushless, it’s probably stupid powerful also.
