FESTOOL Sword – Chainsaw Crossed with a Track Saw

8

We told you about the Prazi cutter a while back, a device that allows you to cut deep wood with the stability of a circular saw.  FESTOOL doesn’t do gimmicks, so their version of this concept called the Sword works like a charm.  For those of you who cut a lot of thick material like beams, this is the tool for you.

Check it out over at Festool

  1. What a great idea! Those engineers over at Festool are truly pioneering innovation in numerous ways. I wish we had a large market availability here in the US, and I wish I could afford them too!

  2. This is a really cool tool that’s not available here yet but SWEEEET! Prazi makes an add on to certain worm drives and some of the guys on the forums have used it and like it.

  3. the Prazi has been around for years video online looks like it was made in the 90’s uploaded in 2009 to youtube. It attaches to your saw and cost 150. Not bad in my opinion Festool is great but from the looks of it will cost 700 to 1000 dollars. You can get a Prazi and a dedicated worm drive skill saw for it, plus another skill worm drive saw, plus a good guide clamp and still be under 600 bucks……
